The Chosen (TV Series)

The Chosen is an American Christian religious-historical drama television series, created, directed, and co-written by filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. The show has released 5 seasons with the first season being financed through crowdfunding and becoming the most successful crow-funded TV series in history.

I was asked to come on board and join their team to produce many of the videos and materials used in their record-breaking crowd-funding. I led a small team in creating daily videos to be used on different social platforms that gave the fans of The Chosen a direct link to the show while it was being produced. I worked closely with Dallas, the director, as well as the cast & crew to produce high quality, behind-the-scenes content that fans of the show simply could not get enough of.

In addition to the videos I helped produce, I was also tasked with creating and animating the opening credits to the show, which are still used today.

Videos

Creating daily videos is not an easy ask, even with a team of talented people. Much care was taken in the planning, writing, shooting and editing of each video with many responsibilities interchanging on a regular basis. While a group effort is most definitely necessary to reach that quantity of content, there were many times when a handful of videos needed to be produced solely on my own. Of the many that were created, these were my favorite.
